Vassily Sinaisky’s series of subscription concerts with the Cleveland Orchestra have been enthusiastically received in the press. The Cleveland Plain Dealer praised the performances, commenting:
“Talk about bringing music to life. In the case of conductor Vassily Sinaisky [on] Thursday, the old idiom held true almost literally. Every artist animates a score through performance. Sinaisky, however, endowed his Cleveland Orchestra program with physical, three-dimensional traits, such that one felt practically surrounded, able not only to hear but almost to touch the music. And yet for all the boldness of his performances, Sinaisky, music director of Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre and conductor emeritus of the BBC Philharmonic, was also a consummate collaborator, guiding without domineering and enabling the ensemble to shine.”
